Privacy and cookies

What data Trebalm collects, what our advertising partners may collect, how cookies are used, and how to control all of it.

Trebalm is a reference site. It has no accounts, no logins, no shopping basket and no newsletter, so there is very little for us to know about you. This page explains what does happen.

What we collect ourselves

• No account data, because there are no accounts.
• No form submissions, because the site has no forms. The calculators run entirely in your browser: the numbers you type are never sent anywhere, and they are not stored when you leave the page.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting records ordinary technical information for each request, such as the page requested, the time, the browser type and an IP address. This is used to keep the site running and to understand which pages are read. It is not used to build a profile of you.
• Email you send us. If you write to us, we keep the message so we can reply and, where it is a correction, so we can act on it and log the fix. We do not add you to any list.

Cookies and advertising

Trebalm is funded by advertising. Advertising is served by third-party partners, and those partners, and their own partners, may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser. They may use that information to select and measure the ads you see, including ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

• Third-party advertising vendors may use cookies to serve advertising based on your visits to this and other sites.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors through Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com and through the industry opt-out pages at optout.aboutads.info, youronlinechoices.eu and optout.networkadvertising.org.
• Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, you will be asked before they are set, and you can change your choice at any time.
• Your browser settings can block or delete cookies entirely. The site works fine without them.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share anything you send us with advertisers.

Children

Trebalm is written for adults who make or buy cosmetics. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to certain processing. Since the only personal data we hold is correspondence you chose to send us, a request usually means "please delete my email", which we will do. Write to hello@trebalm.com.
